Notchtop Mountain

The southeast face of Notchtop.  The route we climbed enters the face on the left at about half-height, then gains a ledge that took us up to the bottom of the amphitheater  in the center, near the top, then up to the notch which is obscured in this photo, but visible in the previous one.

In the East Meadows amphitheater

This was on the crux, "hard to keep it 5.4," pitch.  It was indeed pretty spicy.

The strikingly rounded crest of the Continental Divide in the Park.  Long's Peak is on the left, with its own rounded (flat) summit.

Scott on top, with the summit of Notchtop just behind him, and the Continental Divide in the distance.

Weather recorded at Niwot Ridge, at 11,500 ft, a few tens of miles south of the Park.  The Tundracam, and weather at the Tundralab, can be seen at http://instaar.colorado.edu/tundracamII/camera_high.html

We were climbing during that windy period on the 11th.
